Remembering the anatomy of poultry // Recuerdo de anatomía de aves

A raiz de la necropsia que le hemos realizado a una codorniz de un cliente hacemos este breve y sencillo repaso a la anatomía de las aves en nuestro Blog.

Este animal de unos 6 meses de edad tenía el esófago bloqueado por un cuerpo extraño justo antes del proventrículo que da acceso a la molleja. 

No queremos ni imaginarnos (si fuera real la sensación) del calvario que ha podido pasar el animal desde que ingirió (no sabemos la razón pero es extraño) el cuerpo extraño. 

As a result of the necropsy that we have performed on a client's quail, we make this brief and simple review of the anatomy of birds in our Blog.

This animal, about 6 months old, had its esophagus blocked by a foreign body just before the proventriculus that gives access to the gizzard.

We do not even want to imagine (if the sensation were real) of the ordeal that the animal has been able to go through since it ingested (we do not know the reason but it is strange) the foreign body.
